What it's about

The star of SOMETHING HUGE, Berto Romero, after years of success in film & TV wants toexplore 'a new shape of comedy': the comedy of the future. In parallel, Carlo Padial, directorof experimental films & documentaries, is exploring a new comedy route - both will meetunder casual circumstances.SOMETHING HUGE is the hilariously moving and inspiring journey of a comedian (BertoRomero) and an indie film director (Carlo Padial) who decide to create 'the biggest, mostforthcoming and futuristic comedy ever made in Spain'. The project, named SOMETHINGHUGE, will need a big team, healthy production and many special effects. They both havethe best intentions to make it work, nevertheless they will run into complications that willmake it difficult for them to wrap 'the biggest futuristic comedy in the history of Spanishcinema'.They will soon realise that not only do they not have enough resources to finish the film butthat neither themselves (nor anyone in the crew) really know what the film is actually about. The film, shot in mockumentary style, follows Berto Romero through the preparation andfilming process of the futuristic comedy, full of special effects and showing all the technicalhurdles as well his human side - both as a comedian and as a person. Is SOMETHING HUGE the seed of a masterpiece, mysterious and oddly fun or is it thegreatest most expensive spoof in history? SOMETHING HUGE is the story of a dream. Astory of underdogs, naivety, caos, chromas, visual effects, craziness and a lot of banter andteasing. So much banter it will make you cry.
