Where to Watch The Egos in a Hurricane (2023) in the US

What it's about

"The Egos in a Hurricane" is a feature-length sketch comedy that dives headfirst into the chaotic and often surreal world of Florida. The film is a tapestry of interconnected stories, all loosely held together by the looming threat of a hurricane and the ever-present absurdity of the Sunshine State. Through a series of hilarious and at times poignant sketches, the film introduces a cast of eccentric characters, each grappling with their own uniquely Floridian dilemmas. The narrative weaves through various scenarios, from a group of friends attempting to throw the perfect hurricane party, complete with misguided preparations and bizarre revelations, to a clandestine betting ring that places odds on everything from the storm's intensity to the on-air antics of local weathermen. Other sketches explore the comical and frustrating aspects of modern dating, the misinformation and political polarization that color everyday life, and the strange, often-unbelievable news stories that have become synonymous with "Florida Man." As the film progresses, the lines between the sketches begin to blur, creating a meta-narrative that pokes fun at the nature of storytelling and the film itself. The characters' anxieties, aspirations, and outright ridiculousness paint a vivid and entertaining portrait of a state that is as much a character as any of its inhabitants. "The Egos in a Hurricane" is a loving, if not slightly bewildered, ode to Florida, capturing its unique blend of beauty, chaos, and undeniable charm.
