A sketch-comedy television series featuring a number of recurring characters in their own regular segments. It was created by the comedian Roberto Gómez Bolaños, who was also the series' main writer. The segment "Dr. Chapatín" features the eponymous elderly physician. He is primarily motivated by profit, rather than the well-being of his patients. He is not hesitant to receive bribes by his patients or their families. On the other hand, Chapatín has a nasty temper. He can get violent when people make fun of his advanced age. The segment "Los Chifladitos" ("The Little Crazies") features two lunatics sharing a house. Chaparrón Bonaparte and Lucas Tañeda regularly have surreal conversations, get into strange situations fueled by their own delusions, and unwittingly torment anyone crossing their own path. A recurring character is a female neighbor who regularly visits them to ask for small favors and is oblivious to their strange behavior. The segment "Los Caquitos" ("The Little Thieves") initially featured two thoroughly inept thieves. El Chómpiras and El Peterete/el Botija lacked the brains and the skills to be genuinely threatening, and even the local police officers described them as "harmless". After the characters decided to quit crime, they spend the rest of the series as hotel employees in a series of different settings. The segment developed its own cast of supporting characters, with the most prominent character being Chimoltrúfia who was Botija's wife.
